Service/Role Descriptions: Set-up and tear-down, build relationships with college students

WOODSIDE KIDS

Awana Cubbies, Sparks, T&T Leader
Service/Role Descriptions: Lead a small group of 3-year-olds-5th Grade children through Game Time, Story Time, and Book Time. Listen to children recite Bible verses they have memorized.
Service Time Commitment: Wednesday Evenings, 6:15 p.m.-8:15 p.m.
Location: White Lake campus
Service Requirements: Must be a WBC member and complete the WBC “Because We Care” child protection certification (or be willing to pursue those requirements).

Club 45 Small Group Leader, 4th & 5th Grade
Service/Role Descriptions: Connect with 8-10 kids to encourage spiritual growth through relationship, discussions and other small group activities
Number needed: 2 volunteers needed for each 10 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. service
Service Time Commitment: Sunday Mornings, (1½ hours)

Nursery
Service/Role Descriptions: Nursery Caregiver (childcare: birth through 2 years)
Number needed: 12 Part-time or 6 Full-time
Service Time Commitment: Sunday Mornings, 9:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. OR 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. (weekly/bi-weekly/or monthly)

Early Childhood Department
Service/Role Descriptions:
Number needed: Classroom Helper (Assist the teacher in classroom activities), 6 Needed Volunteers
Service Time Commitment: Sunday Morning 10 a.m. service and 11:30 a.m. service (flexible scheduling available; from 1 ½ hrs/week

WOODSIDE STUDENT MINISTRIES (WSM)

WSM Tech and Video Team
Service/Role Descriptions:  Run sound and PowerPoint, Wednesday nights, Thursday nights video tape major events,  or edit video footage.
Number Needed:  5  Workers
Service Commitment:  Wednesday Night Team: 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Thursday Night Team: 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Edit video footage when you can, once or twice a month video tape major events
Location:  White Lake campus
Serving Requirements:  Know how to use PowerPoint, be able to learn soundboard,  video camera experience, be able to learn Pinnacle or Adobe software

WORSHIP ARTS TEAM

Main Worship Center PowerPoint & Visuals Operator
Service/Role Descriptions:  Displays all visuals to the Main Worship Center Screens.  Some  examples of “visuals” are DVDs, Power Points & Video Backgrounds for the Worship songs  (Also, this person makes the selection of the video  backgrounds to enhance the Worship songs.)  Advances song slides & speaker presentations using PowerPoint.
Service Time Commitment:  Sunday Worship Services, Main Worship Center Praise Band Rehearsals, Sunday Worship Services, Main Worship Center Special Events
Location:  White Lake Campus, Main Worship Center, Tech Room,
Technical Requirements :  Computer skills & a working knowledge of PowerPoint, highly dependable, familiarity of Worship music and timing, an artistic eye, willingness to attend training
Service Requirements:  Must be age 18 or older

Audio Technician
Service/Role Descriptions:  Run the sound board for traditional and contemporary services on Sunday morning (at 8 a.m.), run sound for Thursday night rehearsals, assist in proper shut down and start up procedures.
Number Needed:  4 Audio Technicians
Service Time Commitment:  5 Hours per scheduled Sunday (8 a.m.-12 p.m.),  2 hours per scheduled Thursday (7 p.m.-9 p.m.),  occasional special events (time varies)
Location:  White Lake campus
Serving Requirements:  Heart to worship God through music and to serve, ability to mix instruments to create the desired contemporary or traditional sound, basic knowledge of sound board recommended (though basic training is available), ability to climb a steep flight of stairs

CAFÉ

Café Worker
Service/Role Descriptions: Early morning set-up or after church clean-up or serving beverages and baked good during Sunday services.
Number needed:  10 Needed Workers
Service Time Commitment:  Sunday mornings and some special events, 1 ½ hours a week once a month
Location:  White Lake campus
Serving Requirements:  A friendly smile and a heart for making people feel welcomed
Other Info:  No brewing in the kitchen or retrieval of items for restocking can be done by anyone under 14, although family service, small groups and AFG participation is highly encouraged.

General Maintenance Team
Service/Role Descriptions:  General maintenance and repairs, (working alongside Woodside facilities personnel assisting them while conducting general maintenance), light construction, numerous “one day only” campus projects
Number Needed:  8 Needed Workers on regular basis plus small groups, AFGs and families are welcomed to assist as service projects to tackle various building needs
Service Time Commitment:  Monday-Friday or special projects on some Saturdays (commitments based on availability and type of project)
Location:  White Lake campus
Serving Requirements:  Basic handyman-type skills, some maintenance involves light-duty ladder use

COMMUNICATIONS

Videographer/TV Producer
Service/Role Descriptions:  Work with Communication Pastor Mike Wendland
Produce self-contained videos to be shown in worship services, AFGs, Web site, and other venues to highlight Woodside Ministries and activities.

Service Time Commitment:  5 hours a week as needed

FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM

Bulletin Stuffing
Service/Role Descriptions:  Placing sermon notes into bulletin and special event inserts, great Small Group, AFG, or family service activity. Individuals welcome, too!

Service Time Commitment:  Fridays, 1 hour or less a week or 1 hour a month depending on group availability and number of people serving

Service/Role Descriptions:  Greet and help provide a warm/inviting place for new visitors.  Help direct people to places and opportunities available at the church, hand out fliers, tracts or tri-folds as it relates to current events or interests

Service Time Commitment:  40-45 minutes/week or month depending on availability
Arrive 15 minutes prior to services Sunday a.m. for 8:30 & 10:00 Services
