Troy Campus

Our intention is to offer you the comfort that God offers through spiritual guidance and encouragement in life’s challenges and heartaches.

Woodside Bible Church believes that Christian growth and commitment to Jesus Christ is central to the counseling process.  Foundational to all of our counseling ministries is the personal application of the Bible to the individual, couple or family in counseling.   Due to the volume of requests that are recieved, Woodside Bible Church offers limited counseling to “members and regular attendees” (those attending six months or more) through a variety of pastoral counselors, programs and professional Christian counselors in our area.  Requests that come from outside our church family will generally be referred to one of these outside resources.   Please call the telephone number listed below to set up your personal counseling assessment or to ask for further information.

In addition to our regular counseling ministry, Woodside offers “Stephen Ministry” as a resource to help someone who is going through an emotional crisis by walking alongside them until they regain there emotional balance.  This is achieved by trained and caring individuals who show up, actively listen and who use spiritual resources available to call upon the power of the Lord to bring balance once again in a person’s time of need.

For a personal counseling assessment or to learn more about becoming a trained Stephen Minister, please contact us at: 1.248.879.8533 ext.168.

What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a program to help someone (called a care receiver) who is going through an emotional crisis providing a trained Stephen Minister to walk with the care receiver and the Lord until the care receiver regains their emotional balance. It’s a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around our congregation.    Stephen Ministers achieve this by showing up, actively listening to them and calling on the power of the Lord to cure their emotional crisis.

Mission
The Mission of Stephen Ministry is to support the purpose of Woodside Bible Church through enhancing its distinctively Christian care giving culture.  This will be accomplished by incorporating a well defined Stephen Ministry program that will provide Spirit guided care giving to both the Woodside Community as well as its surrounding region.

Vision
Woodside Bible Church demonstrates a culture of distinctively Christian care giving in part by having a vibrant, Spirit guided Stephen Ministry program which multiplies ministries in the Woodside Bible Church Community and our region.

Goals
