And Growing in Christ means we are moving forward in our faith. It means we are becoming more mature in Christ. We call this discipleship.
The Bible shows us what discipleship looks like and means we are making disciples.
So, what is a disciple?
A disciple is someone who is learning to be like Jesus and do the things Jesus did. And Jesus helped his disciples grow in three primary dimensions of their lives. Upward – deepening our relationship with the Father / Inward – building relationships with those in the church / Outward – reaching into our neighborhoods and networks with the gospel.
Information – Jesus taught his followers the Word of God. We want to do the same.
Imitation – Jesus taught his followers the actions of the gospel and how to live in obedience to the Holy Spirit. We want to do the same.
Innovation – Jesus challenged his disciples to take what they heard and what they saw (the gospel) and come up with new ways of engaging culture with the story of God. We want to do the same.
So, our hope is that Thrive helps you Grow in Christ. You can feel free to join a class without having to make a yearlong commitment. Feel free to join us for a module as your schedule allows.

The teenage years don’t have to be filled with dread, angst and insecurities…for parents, that is. This six week interactive study and discussion will help you discover that God has called us to be part of the most significant work on earth – the formation of a human soul. He has commissioned us to teach young hearts how to think, desire, and choose. Much of this work takes place during the teen years. This provides us with some of the deepest heartaches and greatest opportunities of our parenting years. The question is: Are we ready to make the most of these opportunities?

This experience for men provides instruction in personal Bible study, the development of a devotional life, and the practice of Scripture memory. The whole point is that we would together grow in Christ, begin reaching our neighbors and networks with the gospel and learn how to disciple other men. A disciple is someone who is learning to be like Christ and do the things He did. And a disciple’s growth does not come from lectures but from life transformation, as he stays consistent in Scripture, listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and applying what he learns. If you want to grow in your faith, be encouraged along your journey by other men and learn how to lead others, this is a wonderful opportunity for you. We hope you’ll join us.
