Brief History: Kalamazoo, MI, is my childhood stomping ground. After college, I served as a youth pastor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1993, we moved to Port Huron, MI, where I initially served as pastor of youth and music. Two years later I became senior pastor and served in that capacity for 14 years. I have been serving as campus pastor at Woodside of Warren since 2009.
Started at Woodside:
Christian Testimony: I was raised in a Christian home and my mom led me to the Lord at the conclusion of a neighborhood Birthday Party for Jesus that she hosted. I am thankful for the consistent example my parents provided me as they lived out a fresh faith in our home.
Major Influences: My parents and grandparents, a youth pastor who empowered me to minister, short-term missions trips.
Ministry Focus: I love to encourage people live out their faith in Christ, whether in crisis or celebration. As campus pastor, I enjoy helping people experience the thrill of serving Him, and equipping ministries to reach their maximum effectiveness in transforming their community.
Hobbies: Sports, including basketball, softball, and golf (especially whiffle-ball with my boys). I love pheasant hunting, but it's hard to find any around here!
