Wife: Shari
Children, Grandchildren: Kristi, Chad, Sarah(daughter-in-law); Owen Bradley & Lily Kate born to Chad and Sarah
Life Verse: 1 Timothy 1:15,16
Birthday: July 17
Education: Bob Jones University, B.A. History and Speech. Master of Arts Degree in Theological Studies at Michigan Theological
Seminary. Brief History: My extended family lives in Eastern Kansas and Nebraska. I was born in Lawrence, KS in 1953. My father
was in the Civil Service and was transferred to Aurora, CO when I was two years old. I lived in Aurora until my college years.
Started at Woodside: Member since 1982, on staff since 1997.
Christian Testimony: My parents were divorced in 1963 and my mother was left with three children to rear. Within a couple of
years it was just my mother and me. She was very diligent in making sure we were in church every Sunday. We attended Central
Baptist Church in Aurora, CO. Unfortunately, for all those who had to deal with me, I was a very rebellious teenager. However,
after being expelled from my second high school, God began to draw me to Himself. I knew the truth, but it had not been real in
my life. In the summer of 1972, under great conviction from the Holy Spirit, I received Jesus Christ and his forgiveness for my
sin and was converted.
Major Influences: My mother’s character has had a tremendous impact on my life. I always saw her reading her Bible and I knew
she was praying for me. She was tough on me; tougher than most men that I have known. She taught me not to give up and how to
work. My in-laws, Bob and Nancy Shelton, demonstrated and gave me a model for marriage and Bob showed me how to be the dad I
never had. My wife, Shari, has always been my constant cheerleader.
Ministry Focus: God’s word has been such an anchor in my life. The Lord has led Shari and me through many life experiences and
God has always used His word to prove his love and faithfulness. It always seems that no matter what I have faced, God has
shown His character to sustain me through the Scriptures.
Ministry Goals: To minister the same grace and comfort that Jesus Christ has given to me.
