Mission Statement
Sensing God’s call to develop a lifestyle of praise and worship, the Worship Arts Ministry of Woodside Bible Church faithfully desires to magnify Christ by offering believers avenues of lay ministry in leading worship, discipleship, and evangelization through the arts.
Purpose
To bring the people of God into the presence of God for the pleasure of God to experience the power of God and to accomplish the purpose of God.
What We’re All About
Thanks for your interest in Woodside’s Worship Arts Ministry. Worship services at Woodside are just that…Worship! Our audience is God and we aim to build a place where He can reside with pleasure and work in the hearts of people as we respond to His presence. Worship Arts Team Members see themselves as worship leaders and ministers, not performers. They do not desire to draw attention to themselves or even the art form they are using, but to usher people to the throne of God by offering and modeling authentic worship. As worship leaders, they desire to offer a sacrifice of praise that is worthy of our great God with excellence, joy, and reverence. Therefore, they take their ministry seriously and strive to come before the congregation and the Lord with clean hands and a pure heart.
Center for Worship Arts Development
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” (John 4:23)
Woodside’s Center for Worship Arts Development (CWAD) has been created to help prepare God’s people of all ages for acts of true worship. Our goal is to offer high quality artistic development with Biblical understanding to build up worshipers equipped to freely express divine praise.
Woodside’s Center for Worship Arts Development will hold its Fall 2009 Semester
beginning September 14.
Classes will be offered in Beginning Drums, Beginning Acoustic Guitar, Beginning Ballet, Introduction to Clogging, and Foundations of Mime. Classes are one hour in length and the cost is $50 for the ten-week semester.
We will also be offering drop-in Ballroom and Swing Dance classes on the first and third Fridays of the month at the Warren campus. No registration is required for these classes. The cost is $5 per couple.
