Dick and Vicki Gascho, along with their 3 adolescent boys, joined Greater Europe Mission (GEM) in 1984, after 13 years of church planting ministry in Central Michigan.  Woodside (formerly Troy Baptist Church) became one of their earliest supporting churches and has faithfully continued that partnership since that time.  In their first term, they helped to plant a church in Graz, Austria.  Then, as ministry opportunities expanded across Western and Eastern Europe, they moved to Luxembourg to assume leadership responsibilities for GEM ministries across Western Central Europe.  In recent years they have worked from the international headquarters in Monument, Colorado, with frequent travels across Europe.

Dick oversees the leader development team of GEM, which focuses on developing emerging mission leaders, coaching current leaders in their unique issues and challenges, and training current and future leaders to reproduce godly training principles within their host cultural contexts and beyond.  Dick and his team are thus living out  GEM’s intent, “Reaching Europe…Transforming Lives…Touching the World.”  Vicki works in preparing and training missionaries both in North America and in Europe, and she also serves in several partnership initiatives across the wider missions community.
