First I would like to apologize for the problem with the photos yesterday. There was apparently interference in the wireless connection to the technical trailer caused by the air conditioning system (Yeah right.) Unfortunately tonight this update is later than planned due to a failed power supply in the Internet modem at camp. This actually did happen. Well enough about the technical issues. I am currently writing this in Word so I can copy and paste it when our connection is fixed. Hopefully that won’t be to late.
Well today was another fun day for the campers. The Explorers ended their day with a bonfire including smores. The Adventurers get to do it Thursday night. As you will see in the pictures from today “messy” was the key word for most of the games. Pretty much all of the kids like that word though so it was ok. In Chapel we reviewed the salvation message from yesterday and answered some of the questions the kids had about what it meant to be saved.
A reminder for those using the Woodside Post Office it will close tomorrow at 6:00pm. We have had a record number of letters this year. Last year we had just under 400. This year it looks like we will be over 1000 messages to campers, counselors and staff. WOW! They love getting them so it has been great!
Click here to check out today’s pictures. (Not available as of 1:00am) Still uploading due to slow Internet speed. Please check back tomorrow.
Check out the video below of some of the kids from camp wanting to say “Hi”.
The video was so sweet! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much. Through this blog, we share the happiness of all the kids. Also I’d like to say thanks for all you leaders, counselors, pastor… all the people who work there, tending God’s vineyard and bring children to meet God in nature, activities, prayers, friends….. Thank you all.
What an amazing job you all have done. Thank you so much for helping to reinforce the word of God to my children in such a fun and meaningful way. I know they have deepened their understanding of God’s love and forgiveness, made new friends, and have memories that will last a lifetime. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Woodside family. So many people have worked very hard to make this such a successful event. Thank you to all and know that you have made a big difference in the lives of our children. I hope you all get a chance to rest and relax when you get home. You deserve it!
